The Capt. Karl Special is a handmade top water popper/chugger. It's built one at a time by longtime custom lure builder and creator of StriperLife - Allen "Big Al" Mrachek. The Capt. Karl Special was designed and developed by Big Al and Capt. Karl Bunch. Capt. Karl is the owner of Karl's Bassin Adventures guide service for the Chesapeake Bay and the Susky Flats in Maryland, where he will put you on top of giant stripers. Together we developed a one of a kind plug that is safe for both you and the fish because of its single rear durable custom A.M.O. tailored hook that doesn't foul-hook fish as much and are easier to remove and prove safer to handle especially for catch and release season. Each lure is fully sealed, meaning the whole lure is salt water tight and thru wired with stainless steal to insure a reliable connection while hauling in that trophy fish.
